License tagging for Image:ATHFCharacters.png

Thanks for uploading Image:ATHFCharacters.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:05, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

AutoWikiBrowser

Thank you for your recent application to use AutoWikiBrowser. Regrettably, I have declined your request as you do not have 500 mainspace edits. You are welcome to apply again at a later time. Feel free to contact me with any questions, alphachimp 19:10, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Voice of Francis Griffin

Hiya, Zachary. I just made an edit to the Holy Crap article, changing the voice of Francis Griffin from Charles Durning to Colm Meaney based on sources such as TV Guide. However, I see that you made a previous edit in which you stated that Meaney was not in the episode. If this is true, then please revert my changes (if someone doesn't beat you to them). However, if possible (and if you haven't done so already), could you please check the end credits of the episode to make sure that Meaney was not a voice actor in the episode? If he wasn't, then I think what we have here is a severe case of misinformation from many sources – apparently Meaney was originally cast for the role and may have actually done some of the voice work but was ultimately replaced with Charles Dunring, who had to re-do the dialogue. Anyway, if you could check on this, that would be awesome. Thanks! :) --From Andoria with Love 18:51, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

I did check the end credits and it turns out that Durning is credited and not Meaney. I don't know why TV guide says that it is Meaney, but I guess they made a mistake. :: Zachary (T C E) 21:46, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Welcome aboard!

Hi,

I've just seen you've reverted some vandalism on my user page: many thanks ;-).

BTW, I've seen also, from your contributions, that you're using popups and manually adding warnings. I can suggest you a better system: TWINKLE. Try it and you'll see how it helps.

Keep working for a better wikipedia, and drop me a line on my talk page if you need some help.

Upper Canada College

People keep DELETING the section on Scandals and Ethnic/Gender issues. Are you going to warn them to stop? Or are you just going to pick on me for deleting the Motto/Crest section which should be in the correlated article on "History of Upper Canada College"? Jonawiki 00:29, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

About Armenian Genocide

It looks like that anon IP deleted more than one section. Would you like to revert or should I? Morenooso 04:47, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

I went with the one just after the one you used as it is an RV edit. Morenooso 04:52, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! :)

Thanks for fixing up the vandalism on my page. :D --RazorICEtalk 05:22, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome! :: Zachary (T C E) 05:23, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Sarcasm is the... (Oh, forget it)

There is nothing at all to stop you recreating if you think you can satisfy the notability guidelines. I assume you have kept a copy, but people sometimes don't, so I can retrieve the text if need be. The point of speedy deletion is that it is exactly that. If you think that I have made a mistake, which despite my A+ rating is not unknown, let me know and I'll retrieve the text and list it at Articles for Deletion for discussion, or you can repost and tag it yourself. Hope this helps, jimfbleak 11:48, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

OK. I've restored without any tag, so your baby can take its chances in this cruel world without any hindrance. jimfbleak 11:58, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Image:Ryan Hollweg.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ryan Hollweg.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ccwaters 02:58, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

VandalProof

Hi there!

It has come to my attention that you recently edited the main VandalProof userlist in an attempt to add your name. I would like to make the fact that VandalProof ignores all non-moderator edits known to you. Please do not add your name directly to the userlist. Instead, place it at User:AmiDaniel/VP/Approval where it will be processed as soon as possible.

Thanks, Ale_Jrbtalk 16:55, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

If you have been renamed, you must reapply to use VandalProof - that's just how it works =). Ale_Jrbtalk 17:43, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

WP:AIV

You recently reported John everynerd (talk · contribs) to WP:AIV. As the user had only received a level one warning, I have given him a final warning and removed the AIV report. Please report him if he vandalizes again. Thanks! Natalie 02:58, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Uranium

Hi ZJH, can you tell me what happened on the uranium page (refer my vandal request [1]). Reverting edit 116149106 seemed to fix the problem of the shock picture 'popping' up. As I was at work I wasn't about to go looking at their user page to work out if they were genuine. Is it really that easy to put pictures like that on wikipedia? If it is, the daily featured article should be blocked from edits all day. - Ctbolt 07:22, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

I've just looked at the Uranium talk page, so no explanation necessary... except something has to done to stop that from happening ever again. - Ctbolt 07:27, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Minnesota House of Representatives

It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Minnesota House of Representatives. Please be more careful when editing articles. Thank you. Od Mishehu 11:38, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

My revert to Aqua Teen Hunger Force

Oh, sorry, my mistake then. I generally assume that edits referring to the desire of characters to "rape" others is vandalism ;). -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 00:04, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

DEFAULTSORT

Hi, you and I were working on John Billings at the same time. I was going to add categories, but opened my watchlist in a separate window in my browser and saw that you had just done it. I've seen the {{DEFAULTSORT}} template in other articles I was working on. Since you've added it, presumably you can tell me what it does? Thanks. ElinorD (talk) 11:45, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Yes, the DEFAULTSORT is not a template at all, but it's built into the wiki software. It lets you use default sorting in categories. Normally, you would add [[Category:Cool people|Smith, John]] to sort by last name, but instead of doing this with every category, you can just use DEFAULTSORT, which automagically does the sorting. —Zachary talk 11:59, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Do you mean that if you use the DEFAULTSORT, you can just type in [[Category:Cool people]] without adding "|Smith, John", and that "|Smith, John" will just appear inside the square brackets in all the categories you've added? Sorry if I'm being a bit slow; I don't have any experience of this. ElinorD (talk) 12:04, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
It will not appear in the brackets, but it will act as though it was. —Zachary talk 12:11, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. It's very useful to know that. ElinorD (talk) 12:17, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Report field of Template:Ice Hockey Game

Just curious what your intentions are for the "report" field. Can this be used for Wikinews articles?

Also, we're looking for some talented sports writers on Wikinews. Check out the Hockey portal if you're interested. :) —Zachary talk 03:15, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

  • Yes, that was my intention exactly. And thanks for the offer to become a reporter, I will look into it and reply as soon as possible. Thanks! --Sukh17 TCE 03:18, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Image:Sealab Shanks.png

Could you please correct the source of this image? I'm sure it was just a typo, but Shanks was not in season 1, so you couldn't have gotten it from the season 1 DVD. Fullmetal2887 21:50, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Hancock Image

I believe the numbers have been edited on the reversed version, because if you would take a second to notice, the old logo on the chest of the uniform is backwards, this is the Baseball Pitching Motion image in its proper format. Notice the only thing backwards is the "43". Interestingly enough, Brandon Claussen wore "34" when on the Reds. --CFIF 21:44, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Also notice the "Reds" logo is on the right on their now old home uniform. [2] --CFIF 22:02, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Warning on Sandbox

Sorry about that. I must not have noticed it was a sandbox page. I'll be careful to not let it happen again. Thanks for the heads up. Godlord2 19:07, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
