Zack Whittaker is a computer expert, specialising in Windows Server System technologies as well as the Windows desktop operating systems from Windows 98 and above. He is a programmer of many languages, including .NET, JScript, HTML, XML, C# and web based applications.

He is under contract (NDA) with Microsoft Beta testing all kinds of upcoming pre-release software, including Windows Vista (the next operating system from Microsoft), Office "12" following on from Microsoft Office 2003, and has tested some major releases such as Windows Server 2003 R2 of which he gained Beta Mentor status midway through for posting more than regularly on the newsgroups, helping others with technical problems as well as helping out with bits and bobs in the beta itself - general admin stuff such as statistic generation and encouraging the Program Managers by throwing random compliments and encouragement where it was needed.

He has a website with various different parts to it. His main website contains different applications and guides he has written, some to benefit the user and some as a general referencing tool. With such freeware products as Live Stream and PC FixUp as well as Logon, a security logon tool for network users. He also is currently writing and developing ZackNET VistaBase which will hopefully be a large knowledge base of articles and help files regarding Windows Vista. He has a forum which is available for everyone's use, as well as a technical shared blog which is written by a closed group on the Windows Server 2003 R2 beta, as well as a personal blog which has over 600,000 hits over the first year alone. He's managed all of this... and he's only just 17.

He lives in the middle of Nottinghamshire, UK in the heart of Sherwood Forest in the ancient village of Edwinstowe, the supposed home of Robin Hood and the proud home of the Major Oak tree. He lives with his family by the riverside, not to mention his ginger and white cat who's actually older than him.
