I've created some templates that I use for user talk pages, mostly in the course of doing RC patrol. You are of course welcome to modify them and use them as well (for my sake, they have my name in them, but you can copy them into your own user namespace and adjust them accordingly).

• Welcome template - A stock welcome for new users, includes a space to add an additional comment as needed plus the boilerplate global welcome template.
• Vandalism warning - I end up using this one entirely too much. Welcomes vandals, encourages them to stop, points them to the Sandbox, etc... Makes for a good first warning. Includes a space to indicate what the nature of the vandalism was.
• Copyright warning - A template to alert users to a copyvio problem. Describes the problem and points them to the article's talk pages and temp page.
