Zabreznica is one of ten villages in the Žirovnica municipality in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.
It is the location of Primary School Žirovnica which serves the primary education needs of all the villages in the municipality. Above the village in the Reber range the church of St Laurence was rebuilt in the 1990's on the remains of romanesque foundations of a church that was pulled down in 1821. It is decorated with work by contemprary Slovene artists France Bernik and Andrej Jemec.
Zabreznica has a population of 469 (2002 census).
