Zabala (also Zabalam, modern Tell Ibzeikh site, Iraq) was a city of ancient Sumer in what is now the Dhi Qar governorate in Iraq.

Cuneiform texts state that Hammurabi built Zabala's ziggurat Ezi-Kalam-ma to the goddess Innana. [1]

Before Sumer was consolidated, Zabala was a village administered under the nearby city-state of Umma. [2]
