Z-Rock Hawaii was recorded in 1997 by Gene Ween, Dean Ween, Andrew Weiss, Claude Coleman Jr. of the band Ween, and the Japanese artists Yamantaka Eye, Seiichi Yamamoto, Yoshimi and Yoshikawa of Boredoms.
Eye was apparently disappointed that the name turned out to be what it was, as he had originally hoped it would be called WeYeN.
