Yvonne Murray MBE (born October 4, 1964 in Musselburgh), married name Yvonne Murray-Mooney, is a Scottish former middle distance track and road running athlete. She was inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.

Yvonne was 5 x Scottish outdoor champion. U.K. Champion at 3000 metres 1985, and 87. And also at 5000 metres in 1983. She was 5x AAAs champion outdoors, and AAAs Indoor champion in 84. She won the bronze medal at the 1986 Commonwealth Games for the 3,000m that were held in Edinburgh. She then went on to win the bronze medal at the European Championships for the same event in the same year.In 1987 she was European indoor champion at 3000 metres. In the Seoul Olympics in 1988 she also won a bronze medal for the 3000m. In 89 she won an excellent victory at a Grand prix in the 3000, and then added a World cup victory to this as well, but her ultimate success came in 1990 with a gold medal in the European Championships for the 3000m. It was almost two golds that year, as earlier, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand, she was pipped by 1 second to the gold medal by Canadian Angela Chalmers. However, she beat her countrywoman Liz McColgan in that race. In 1993 she won the World Indoor Championships again over 3,000m. Then in 1994, she won silver at the European Championships and then went on to win another gold medal in the 1994 Commonwealth Games, this time for the 10,000m. She was awarded an MBE in 1990.
Murray was inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame on the 12th March 2007.
