[edit] Request for edit summary

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 04:38, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Symphony Orchestras

Hey Yvesnimmo! I think we should get an article about the NBYO started on Wikipedia. If you have any suggestions, send them over to me or start it yourself. I'm still not very familiar with the process of creating a page. Thanks again. Wikiisawesome 11:38, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Do you know anything about Dr. James Mark? If you do, add it to the new page bearing his name. Wikiisawesome 21:18, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Yes, the Greater Moncton schools navbox should be changed to the District 2 navbox. It better represents the schools in D2 that aren't in Moncton. Wikiisawesome 15:35, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moncton

Hello Yves! (Im assuming thats your name, please correct me if Im wrong lol) Ive noticed that you have been doing some work on the Moncton page, for that I would like to thank you. I dont know if you knew but MonctonRad as well as myself are in constant communication as we are attempting to bring the article at least to "Good Article" status. If you would like to offer assistance in this regard it would be much appriciated. If you have any ideas or suggestions please dont hesitate to write me on my talk page. Once again thanks for all your help! Talk to you later

Stu pendousmat 20:51, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello again! Once again thanks for your continued contributions to the Moncton page...I assume you noticed we failed the GA nomination :( oh well...there were a few problems. Good news is the problems are easily fixable :)MonctonRad is working on the history section (writing it over in prose) and he will also be re-writing the lead to better summarise the article. I just took out all the external links from the page (they are evil apparently lol), re-did the map because it was to "hard to read", and added in more references (with a lot of help from you :D). So once these things are completely done we will be re-nominating for GA. Once again thanks for the help...just thought I would fill you in on whats going on if you didnt know already...Take care.

Hello. I was just browsing around and I noticed you made a "Wikiproject" for NB. I was tinkering with the idea of doing this my self. Id would love to join and help out...but are you planning on making it a standalone page? Because right now its a section of your userpage. Just wondering...anyways, have a good one! :D

Stu pendousmat 21:09, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Cool...I added myself to the list on there...Ill let MonctonRad know about it, he will most likely join. I was thinking, could we also add the "Importance" thing to the template that goes on articles talk pages? I think it would be cooler like that, up to you though. talk to ya later.

Stu pendousmat 21:35, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello again. I just spent a couple of hours adding some stuff to the Wikiproject and I moved it to its new home at Wikipedia:WikiProject New Brunswick. I hope you dont mind, I was just bored and I figured we might as well get going. Im sure once people see the banner around in the articles they will join up. I started making the catagories for the Importance and Quality and whatnot that are related to the banner. I know you are really good with stuff like that so if you wanted to do some work on it you can...if not I can finish it later. (you can find all the red links and whatnot at Wikipedia:WikiProject New Brunswick/Assessment. Again I really hope you dont take this the wrong way or anything, just wanted to help out a bit. Have a good one!

Stu pendousmat 06:04, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Excellent...now for the arduous task of putting those banners an all NB related articles lol, should be a good time.

Stu pendousmat 17:15, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Hey...just going over the list of premiers now...do you think they should be mid or high importance?

Stu pendousmat 17:52, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

yeah thats what I figured. I made them all high importance. Ill make all the other politicians mid importance (ex MLAs and stuff). MPs should prob be high. This is a lot more work than I thought at first haha.

Stu pendousmat 20:20, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Hey thanks a lot buddy :D I feel old already haha. You go to BMHS? I graduated from there in 2005, the 3rd grad class ever woot!...glad to work alongside a fellow highlander!

Hi. In enacting consensus from User categories for discussion, I have removed the category Category:Wikipedians interested in books from your userpage. It was determined in that deletion debate that this category should be depopulated of individuals, but kept as a parent category. If you wish to display a category reflecting your interest in books, please consider one of the specific sub-categories under its umbrella. Thanks, and please excuse the necessary editing of your user page! ----Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:10, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:FrankLBowserlogo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:FrankLBowserlogo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:46, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
