Yusuf Dadoo

Yusuf Mohamed Dadoo (September 5, 1909-September 19, 1983) was a South African communist activist and defendant at the Treason Trial in 1956.
Yusuf Mahomed Dadoo was one of the most outstanding leaders of the South African freedom struggle. He was born in Krugersdorp on the 5th September 1909 to Mahomed and Amina Dadoo. The Mahomed Dadoo and his wife were both born in the small town of Kolwad which is on the banks of the Tapi river and not far from the city of Surat.
He is buried at Highgate Cemetery in London.
