Yuri Babenko

Yuri Babenko (born on 2 January 1978 in Penza, Russia) is a former professional ice hockey player. He was drafted to the NHL by the Colorado Avalanche in 1996 in the 2nd round, 51st overall and played 3 games for the Avalanche. Apart from four seasons in the AHL with the Hershey Bears and one in the OHL with the Plymouth Whalers, he spent most of his career playing in his home country.
