Yungay-Caraz Touristic Circuit

The Yungay Caraz Touristic Circuit has 57 km and lasts around 5 days.[citation needed] It starts in Huaráz. Then it arrives to the gully of Llanganuco.[citation needed] It passes through Yurac Corral, that is the upper part of the Orconcocha lagoon, in the city of Portachuelo, at 4767 m of altitude.[citation needed] Then it arrives to gully of Vaquería.[citation needed] Once tourists[citation needed] arrived here, they have to sleep in the limits of the Huascarán National Park, in the town of Colcabamba. On the second day, tourists pass through the gully of Huaripampa, and they sleep at the bottom of the Pucaraju peak(6241 m)
On the third day, the tourists[citation needed] go up to the final part of the gully of Huaripampa, going through the Union peak at 4150 m, and descending by the gully of Quitaraju and Artesonraju peak.[citation needed] On the fourth day[citation needed], tourists[citation needed] sleep at the Santa Cruz lagoon. On the fifth day, they arrive to Caraz. In this circuit it can be observed not only various natural formations like the peaks of Pucaraju, Piramide Garcilaso, Alpamayo, Santa Cruz, Aguja; the lagoons of Llanganuco and Yatuncocha; but also abundant flora and fauna, as well as the inca routes.[citation needed]
