Yumiko Himei

Yumiko Himei (姫井 ゆみ子? born 1959) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Okayama, Okayama, she graduated from Okayama University and received a master's degree from it. She was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 2007 after serving in the assembly of Okayama Prefecture for two terms since 1999.
