Yuko Obuchi

Yuko Obuchi (小渕 優子 Obuchi Yūko?, born December 11, 1973) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Bunkyo, Tokyo and graduate of Seijo University, she worked at the national broadcaster TBS from 1996 to 1998. She was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2000. Her father is former prime minister Keizo Obuchi and her grandfather former member of the House of Representatives Mitsuhei Obuchi.
