Yukio Edano

Yukio Edano (枝野 幸男? born 1964) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Utsunomiya, Tochigi and graduate of Tohoku University, he was elected for the first time in 1993 as a member of Morihiro Hosokawa's Japan New Party. He later participated in the 1996 formation of the DPJ.
