Xunlei is a download manager which utilizes "P2SP" technology to improve download speeds at the cost of slowing down the OS of download client and causing other potential security problems.

As the table above shows, Xunlei does have some advantages comparing with traditional download managers, especially the speed of download.
And also, when a user employs Xunlei to download some files from a certain web site, Xunlei can provide informations about some other web sites, which are also available for the downloading of the same files.

[edit] Ignoring the rights of users
When one client is downloading some files. It forces other clients to download some part of these files for that client without anything admission. In fact, every client, no matter whether itself is downloading any file, becomes a server for downloading at the time when Xunlei is running.
Nearly all the clients, who often employ Xunlei for downloading, do not even know such a fact!
Every user has the right of knowing how one product is working and whether the product has something negative. But Xunlei ingores this right of users!

The client of Xunlei will become a virtual server immediately, as soon as the Xunlei download manager is invoked. During its running time, Xunlei keeps on costing the resources of the client's system. This certainly makes the burden of system more heavy!

When one client is retrieving data, its information such as password or user name, will also be transported to other clients (Xunlei forces them to become virtual servers). What is more, if one client downloads some virus or spyware from the website, then these harmful softwares will be transported to other clients as well!

Now, Xunlei has a user group of more than 10-million people! In spite of this, the main purpose of the Xunlei users is to employ Xunlei to download pirate products with a large size such as pirate software, pirate music, and so on.
