Yuddh seva medal

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Yuddh Seva Medal is an award given in the Indian Army for gallantry.

Awarded for a high degree of distinguished services during war, conflicts, or hostilities. In many ways, this is an operational version of the Vishisht Seva Medal that, since 1980, has been restricted to non-operational awards. The award carries with it the right to use 'Y.S.M.' as postnominal letters.
