[edit] Image confusion
Hi, I took a look and after some consideration I agree with you. I'm afraid that new users tend to get the short end of WP:AGF sometimes - especially when it comes to uploading "internet" (small jpgs) sized images. Anyway welcome to wikipedia - I hope you stick around. Regards Megapixie 18:01, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! Did you remove the tag? YSHOULDUKNOW123 18:08, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'll give it 24 hours to see if the other editor has any objections. If not then I'll delist the image - i.e. remove the tag and strikeout the debate. Best to give him some time to respond (it saves this turning into a messy dispute). I'll drop a note on his talk page asking him to look at the discussion. Megapixie 18:25, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries please... they really help us
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Glen 20:36, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, OK! I'm so sorry! YSHOULDUKNOW123 20:37, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Nintendo
You did all the hard work, so credit goes to you. Sorry for past misunderstandings, which hopefully have been left behind forever. Good luck! -- ReyBrujo 04:07, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Of course! Good Luck to you too! YSHOULDUKNOW123 04:17, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Accelerated Reader
Thanks for doing the wikification. I usually do such things myself; I dislike tagging articles and leaving them for others, but it was late and there was a lot of wikification needed.
Usually those things languish forever; thanks to you it was done in less than a day. Good work! Daniel Case 16:15, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

- No problem! I'm all about helping other people! YSHOULDUKNOW123 16:19, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nintendo DS sizing
Hi - I wonder if you could come over to Talk:Nintendo_DS#Size_comparison and participate in the discussion over the merits of various DS/PSP comparison pics? Cheers, --Oscarthecat 18:41, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your user page
Hey YSHOULDUKNOW123, I deleted your user page history to get rid of that personal information. It's a really, really bad idea, especially for a young person, to have so much personal information on their page. Cheers, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 03:43, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

- Sure, whatever... YSHOULDUKNOW123 14:28, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Images
If it's your image, you should tag them with {{PD-self}} so to guarantee that nobody else touches it and marks it as unfree. Hbdragon88 03:59, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Help on Nintendo DS
I will try, although I am not currently very active in the main namespace. -- ReyBrujo 22:26, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Brian Howe (singer)
I have now put the {{unsourced}} tag on this article for the third time. Please see WP:RS. A link to the subject's website is not a valid source. Please don't remove the tag without actually supplying sources. User:Zoe|(talk) 17:07, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Good to know. Thanks. :) User:Zoe|(talk) 17:14, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Desktoptwo
A tag has been placed on Desktoptwo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why Desktoptwo is really notable, you can contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and leave a note on Talk:Desktoptwo, explaining how Desktoptwo is notable. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 23:52, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Talk pages
With regards to your comments on User talk:NawlinWiki: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. --ArmadilloFromHell 00:08, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:NINTENDODS.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:NINTENDODS.PNG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hbdragon88 23:34, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Abercrombie_moose.PNG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Abercrombie_moose.PNG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 04:30, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Hollister_Seagull.PNG
I have tagged Image:Hollister_Seagull.PNG as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 04:32, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Prod on Nintendo DS accessories
[edit] Nintendo DS accessories
A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Nintendo DS accessories, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Speedy deletion of Online Operating System
A tag has been placed on Online Operating System, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- Swerdnaneb 18:34, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Old Navy Logo.PNG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Old Navy Logo.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 20:41, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Aeropostale Logo.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:Aeropostale Logo.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:36, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
