Ysgol Gynradd Bethel

Ysgol Gynradd Bethel is a primary school located in the small village of Bethel between Caernarfon and Bangor.

The school educates children aged between 3-11 years old. Welsh is the primary language spoken in class and outside the school therefore English pupils are encouraged to learn Welsh.

Currently, the school has approximately 160 pupils.

Ysgol Gynradd Bethel first started out as Bethel British School on a different site than the currernt. It was opened on April 11th, 1864 with 71 children on the register.

Later, a new school was opened at the present site in October 1881, and thus became Ysgol Gynradd Bethel.

Ysgol Gynradd Bethel is one of the highest ranking primary schools in the Gwynedd area[1].
