It has a population of about 100 people. There is a bakery shop, a post office, a milk shop and a rugby pitch with a playground. There is a small church and a bridge over the infant Afon Conwy.

The village has a primary school with two class rooms and a cafeteria.

The cottage of Foel Gopyn is a National Trust property.
