Yahya R. Kamalipour (Persian: یحیی کمالی پور - born November 29, 1947) is professor and head of the Department of Communication and Creative Arts, Purdue University Calumet, Hammond, Indiana, USA. He has 11 published books and is the founder and managing editor of Global Media Journal with 11 established editions throughout the world, co-founder and co-editor of Journal of Globalization for the Common Good, and founder of Global Communication Association. In addition to numerous speeches, mass media appearances and interviews, Kamalipour’s articles have appeared in professional and mainstream publications in the U.S. and abroad. Kamalipour earned his Ph.D. degree in Communication (Radio-TV-Film) from University of Missouri-Columbia, M.A. degree in Mass Media from University of Wisconsin-Superior, and B.A. degree in Mass Communication (Public Relations) from Minnesota State University.
