Yppah (pronounced "Yippah"), aka Joe Corrales Jr., is electronic/rock musician signed to Ninja Tune records. He currently resides in Houston, Texas.
His early teen years were spent playing guitar and bass in rock bands, his later ones as a scratch DJ who mixed hip hop and house in club sets, produced weird mashups (Outkast v Ted Nugent) and was part of a turnttablist group called "The Truth".
Heavily Influenced by shoegaze, various electronic music, psychedelic soul and rock, his music often mixes guitars shoved through massive reverbs/delays, keyboards/synthesizers, live drums, and other techniques.
His first album, titled You Are Beautiful at All Times, was released in 2006 on Ninja Tune records. [1]
