"Your Love Keeps Working on Me" was the first single from Jody Watley's fourth album, Intimacy. "Your Love Keeps Working on Me" was considered a disappointment, the single only reached number 100 in the US, and failed to chart in the UK, even though it was a top 30 R&B hit and number 2 dance hit in the US, it was a sign that her sales have slowed down since her first and second album which both sold in the millions worldwide.
