Young Irelands

Young Irelands are a Gaelic Athletic Association Club based in Gowran, County Kilkenny[1]. formed in 1952, they are located on the Goresbridge Road just outside the village.

Young Irelands GAA Club have been Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship winners on two occasions, 1996 and 2002.[2] [3] They were also finalists in 1997, 2003, 2004. They were also Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship Finalists in 2002, losing to Birr in Portlaois
