Young Divas is the self-titled debut album by the Young Divas, made up of Australian Idol finalists Ricki-Lee Coulter (Season 2), Paulini Curuenavuli (Season 1), Kate DeAraugo (Season 3) and Emily Williams (Season 3).

This album came about when the four girls toured together on the "Young Divas" tour. A cover of the Donna Summer classic "This Time I Know It's for Real" was released to promote the tour. The single exceeded expectations by staying in the top ten of the Australian ARIA charts for fourteen weeks. The tour was a sellout and much demand was made for the girls to record a second single.

Sony BMG Australia decided to give fans a full album as well. The album contains remakes of classic diva hits from all over the world, including Irene Cara's "What a Feeling", Laura Branigan's "Gloria", The Weather Girls' "It's Raining Men", Summer's "She Works Hard for the Money", and their second release, Lonnie Gordon's "Happenin' All Over Again". [1]

Other covers featured on the album include “Searchin'” (originally recorded by Hazell Dean), “Woman In Love” (Barbra Streisand), “Let’s Hear It For The Boy” (Deniece Williams), “Say I’m Your No. 1” (Princess), and “You’ll Never Stop Me Loving You” (Sonia).

The album debuted at #4 on the ARIA Album Chart on November 27, 2006 with sales of 12,222 copies[citation needed]. The album became Australia's thirty-eighth highest selling album of 2006.

In June, 2007 Ricki-Lee left the group to concentrate on her solo career.

In October, 2007 Jessica Mauboy (Austalian Idol, Season four) was introduced as the new Young Diva on Australian Idol. Jessica was runner up to Damien Leith in the 2006 series of Australian Idol. Again a quartet, the Young Divas released the single "Turn me loose" featuring rapper Savage on November 17th 2007.
