The Young Democrats of America High School Caucus is the official national organization for high school students in the Democratic Party of the United States.
As part of the Young Democrats of America[1][2] the members of the YDAHSC organization represent high school students at all levels of the Democratic Party.
Although State Chapters for the organization and idea existed beforehand, the official national combination of the state groups was founded in December of 2005, by Ahmed Kokon (NY) and Jonathan Padilla (CA). The caucus was approved by the YDA National Committee on December 2nd, 2005 in Phoenix, Arizona.
It's main rival organization is the Teenage Republicans.
The organization claims a quarter of the YDA's membership, or around 15,000.[3]
