Young America's Foundation was founded in 1969 at Vanderbilt University.[1] It helped to establish the Conservative Political Action Conference, and remains a cosponsor of that conference to this day.[2]
In 1998, Young America's Foundation purchased Rancho del Cielo, the Santa Barbara, California ranch of Ronald Reagan.[1]
Presently, the foundation's primary role is helping conservative student organizations at campuses across the United States host educational programs, speakers and other activities.
In 2007 the YAF underwrote Ann Coulter's speeches at Tulane University and the Annenberg School of the University of Southern California as part of "Terrorism Awareness Week", a series of events organized by the David Horowitz Freedom Center.[3]
[edit] Campus Chapters
Young America's Foundation has begun to start chapters on college campuses. Only one presently exists and is found at George Washington University in Washington, DC. YAF has been actively providing the GWU chapter with funding for speakers and materials [4].
