You Used To Hold Me So Tight is a Dance-pop song written and produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for singer, Thelma Houston. The song was released as a single in mid 1984. "You Used To Hold Me So Tight" became a success on the charts. It peaked at #13 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles and Tracks chart and at #7 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart. The single missed the Billboard Hot 100. The exact chart peak on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles is unknown.
