It became his first single to top the UK Singles Chart (albeit in 1998) and reached number 2 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. This single is still among the Top 9 in longevity in the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart with 71 weeks, only "Be Without You" by Mary J Blige with 75 weeks has stayed more time in that chart[1].
