You Had It Coming is an album by Jeff Beck, released in Japan on November 15th, 2000 and in the USA on February 6th, 2001. It is noteworthy for its fusion of the (usually very separate) worlds of instrumental rock guitar music and contemporary electronic dance music. Tracks such as the drum and bass cover "Nadia" and the breakbeat of "Roy's Toy" introduce elements of EDM production to the album in a way which is is distinct from most of the work of his peers. The album also continues Beck's ongoing investigation of how to get new and unusual sounds out of the electric guitar, mimicking the sounds of traditional asian instruments on "Nadia", a blackbird singing on "Blackbird" and various radical electronic production sounds throughout the album.
