[edit] Format
[edit] Round One
Three contestants competed. In round one, three categories were put up on the board, and player one selected the first category. Host Stevens asked a question worth $1000. Whoever buzzed in with the correct answer earned the cash and got to pick the next category. New categories replaced old ones. Incorrect answers at any point in the show cost the player money and gave the opponents a chance to answer.
After three questions were played, round one ended with a mini-round called "DisOrDat", which had the same format as the computer game. Host Stevens gave the players a clue and the contestants had to choose one of the two possible answers. Correct answers were still worth $1,000. If any player gave an incorrect answer, the others could not steal.
[edit] Round Two
Round two was the same as round one, but with dollar values doubled. Round two ended with a feature called "The $2,000,000 Question". Host Stevens read the question, but while it was trying to be read, something unexpected would happen (e.g., Stevens' hand would get caught in the conveyor belt he rode on at the top of the show), dropping the value of the question down rapidly, sometimes as low as $17. Whoever eventually answered the question correctly won the remaining value of the question.
[edit] Round Three
Round three was the catch-up round, where all three contestants were asked a math question. They had thirty seconds to solve the problem while being distracted by a college marching band. A correct answer was worth $5,000 to each of the players who answered correctly. At the end of this round, the two highest scorers moved onto the "Jack Attack". The other player was eliminated and received a consolation prize.
[edit] Jack Attack (Round Four)
Round four was called the Jack Attack. It was played between the two remaining contestants. The players were given a category and had to match answers that fit the category. Correct answers were worth $5,000, but every incorrect answer given deducted that same amount from the player's score. At the end of the round, the player with the highest score won the game and kept the money. The other player received a consolation prize.
