You're the Best

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"You're the Best" is a classic 1980s song by Joe Esposito, which came to prominence as the music to the All-Valley Karate Championships montage in the movie The Karate Kid (1984) where the hero, Daniel LaRusso, proves a surprisingly formidable contender. The song remains Esposito's most widely known contribution to the world of music. On The Adam Carolla Show in 2008, Joe revealed the song was originally written for Rocky III, explaining why the lyrics state "history repeats itself."[1]
