"You're No Good" is a song written by Clint Ballard, Jr. The song was first recorded and released by two female soul singers, Betty Everett and Dee Dee Warwick. It became an R&B hit for Everett in 1963. In 1975, Linda Ronstadt took a more rootsy rock music approach to the song and her version went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and top ten on the Billboard country chart.
While Warwick's version garnered her some notice, it was ultimately eclipsed by the success of Everett's version, which became a top ten hit on Billboard's R&B chart and a minor hit on the Hot 100.
