[edit] Unjustly blocked by Theresa Knott

This is ridiculous, fix this. I don't know who these other people are and there is no way our IP's are the same. I am based out of Davis, California.

unblock request removed; the blocking admin has already unblocked you. Sandstein 20:44, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Then how come I am still blocked?

[edit] Erin Burnett

Hey David, as you might have noticed I was inadvertently caught up in all the Erin Burnett ridiculousness and I wanted some advice (I'm a newbie). I was wondering if there is anything that can be done about ICarriere's behavior. I just think it is so out of line and I was shocked to find that much resistance to such a stupid quote. Is this normal behavior on Wiki? Furthermore, is this behavior reportable or punishable? One last thing, can ICarriere post everyone's IP information publicly? I know it isn't that hard to find, but still I thought that posting personal information was not allowed on Wiki. Thanks! You idiot kid 05:12, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello! I obviously disapprove of ICarriere's behavior, but I believe that we should concentrate on the article itself. Perhaps a request for comment is in order. A similar request can be made regarding specific editors, but this is best avoided whenever reasonably possible. (That might be worth considering if ICarriere's behavior becomes a long-term problem.)
Regarding the IP addresses, my understanding is that there is no privacy violation unless and until ICarriere posts personal information that hasn't already been made available on Wikipedia by the editors themselves. —David Levy 16:17, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
