Rather than decide how fights are detailed, decide what fights are detailed. Because the bulk of most of the plot summaries are battles, skimming down everything else isn't going to make a huge impact. A cap on what is and what is not an important battle is the key to shortening the character articles. ~SnapperTo 23:48, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

A good point. I'll list out every major fight in the series at the top of this discussion page. This would be a good place to discuss which are the most significant for each character. You Can't See Me!

Unless there is some actual development on the character's part, and that development can't be worked into another section, fights in general aren't needed. The exception to this are fights that progress the larger plot. None of Neji's battles, for example, progress the plot, though Shikamaru's fight with Hidan does. ~SnapperTo 19:13, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Hm... Perhaps, rather than describing every fight, any notable events from a fight could be slipped into "Personality", and any notable jutsu or strategies can be slipped into "Fighting Style"/"Abilities". Then, we can have a table such as (using Gaara as an example)...
