[edit] External links
Hi. I see all of your edits so far have been to add external links. Please be aware that Wikipedia is not a web directory where links can be added freely for no reason. Links here must meet official guidelines of encyclopedic style substance, which the links you added do not. From all appearances you may also want to read our conflict of interest page and our prohibition of spam. Certainly any links you add must conform to those as well. [edit] DreamGuy RfC
It would help matters if you would just remove yourself from the RfC page that I started. You are a very new editor who has had exactly one minor interaction with DreamGuy in which he removed your external link, for reasons that most editors will agree with. You have no significant knowledge of or beef with his conduct. You're just muddying the waters and giving him something to distract from the issues. Dicklyon 06:21, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
I would like to repeat that you involving yourself in this continues to do more harm than good. Stay out of it. Dicklyon 18:47, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

- Not Ideogram. Check I.P. addresses. Ideogram and I are probably in different countries. «You Are Okay» 19:18, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

- Sorry if it's rude. Why does an amateur write Wikipedia's chess pages? «You Are Okay» 19:33, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

- You haven't even tried to write anything yet. All you added was an external link, and there are many good reasons why external links, especially by new users, are scrutinized and objected to. In this case, it was a site that required a login, so was obviously inappropriate. Did you even look at WP:EL? Dicklyon 19:48, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

- UChess.com is a respected non-commercial chess site. Ask the opinion of any professional chess-player who plays 10 minute blitz chess. Chess is participation. Registration is unavoidable to calculate ratings and rank players. Akin to professional chess tournament leagues. «You Are Okay» 20:46, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Placing unsummarized, unformatted links from April on ANI (that mess up the page width), and not signing them, is confusing. I need you to stay out of the DreamGuy dispute (find something else to do), your involvement is becoming disruptive. Thx. El_C 21:01, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Since you opted to ignore my warning, you have been blocked for 24 hours. Upon your return, please edit in a non-DreamGuy-related manner. Feel free to debate the suitability of those external links at the pertinent article talk pages, but without reference to DreamGuy. El_C 21:24, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
