Talk:Youth Risk Behavior Survey
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I saw that someone tagged this article for speedy deletion, and I really do not understand. The YRBS is the only repeated federal study of adolescent risk behavior, and there is only one other repeated study of adolescent risk behavior (conducted by U Michigan). EVERY piece of information that we have about trends over time in smoking, drinking, sex, etc., which is reported in the media uses either YRBS or Monitoring the Future (the Michigan study). The YRBS is featured in hundreds of media reports every year. If you have doubts on notability call up any national, state, or local department of public health and ask where they get their information from, and look in Congressional hearings and briefings for policy makers. They all use YRBS.
