[edit] AfD template removal

As I understand it, the AfD template was added by User:Nihonjoe in attempting to add the deletion of this article to another article (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John C. Autry) already being AfDed. Correct me if I am wrong, but that doesn't look like correct process to me - it should have been AfDed on its own merits, and a separate AfD discussion started. If I'm wrong, then please correct me here and re-add the AfD template. I'm deliberately not AfDing, as I think there is possibility this can be develped into a decent article - but not by me, as I'm no history buff. WLD^talk|edits 10:20, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
