[edit] Airplay

Is it just me, or is all this talk about the airplay a bit excessive? I mean, I hardly care what radio stations pick up on what single, even if it is for an artist I really like. If it's popular, say that, but do we need a thorough discussion of each station playing it? Folkor 07:28, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

I've added the airplay information, and you're probably right about it being too extensive. However, since it seems that the single won't be released in the US, its success there will depend solely on airplay, and how the song performs in that area in the weeks after its release is an extremely important criterion for predicting airplay peak. So I've put in more information than is necessary now, with the intention of scaling it back significantly after the song actually charts (or not). But I think that it is significant to provide some information on trends in airplay, as I did on the You Are the Quarry page. This lets people know whether the songs were more catchy or more growers, which parts of the country supported them, whether they had a little play on many stations or a lot of play on a few stations, etc. I think these things are significant for the songs. But I also agree that listing all of the stations won't be necessary once the airplay trajectory is in the past. I can try to scale it back now if you'd like. What do you think?

It sounds like you've got a system here, which I didn't quite realize. If you've got it planned out as such, that sounds fine with me. Really, it can't hurt to have more information than needed. And they aren't thinking of releasing it in the US? Curses. Importing is always so expensive. Folkor 08:02, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pasolini

I added something about the relevance of the Pasolini quote. Feel free to take it down if it is not appropriate.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:MozKilled2.jpg

Image:MozKilled2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:28, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
