Yoshiaki Koizumi (小泉 歓晃 Koizumi Yoshiaki?, born in 1968) is a Japanese electronic game designer. A graduate from the Visual Concept Planning Department of the Osaka University of Arts, he has been working for Nintendo for the past 16 years.[1]

His first project was on the SNES video game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. He later went on to work on major games such as Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Super Mario 64, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. His first direction on a game was with Super Mario Sunshine, followed by Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat and Super Mario Galaxy, released in November 2007.[2]
