[edit] Orphan
This wording "When he was four years old, his father Avraham Shlomo left him an orphan." is very Artscrolly, I'm sure we can come up with a better way to say that at four years old he became an orphan. Unless at four he got an orphan as a present. Yossiea 13:35, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- So solve it. I just did, does it look better this way? Doesn't say anything about his mother. In Dutch, being orphaned means having no parents. In English, for some reason, it can also refer to having only one parent left. So, what about his mother? --Daniel575 14:17, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kobersdorf or Verbo
Crz: You added the information that Rabbi Sonnenfeld was born in Kobersdorf. I have before me a number of sources seeming to indicate that he was born in Verbo (Slovakia). Can you please explain this discrepancy? Many thanks, Nesher 15:57, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- Nesh, I took earlier information saying he was born in Kobbersdorf, and did research to find the real spelling. I didn't originate it here. Here's Daniel575's original version: [1]. Ja.... it doesn't say he was born in Kobersdorf - just my imagination! :) Thanks. - CrazyRussian talk/email 19:26, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
He was born in Verbo and married his wife from Kobersdorf. Itzse 20:43, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
