York Regional Road 56, known locally as Weston Road, is the portion of Weston Road that continues north past Steeles Avenue into York Region.

The Toronto portion originates at the intersection of Keele/St. Clair and travels through Mount Dennis and the Village of Weston. After it travels past Steeles Avenue, it continues into Vaughan, and King in York Region.

Most of Weston Road is a four-lane principal arterial road through residential areas. The speed limit of York Regional Road 56 is 70 km/h (45 mph) north of Steeles Avenue.

The northerly limit of the road is at Highway 9, in the Holland Marsh area.
