York High School (York)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

York High School is a secondary school in York, North Yorkshire, England which was formed in 2007 by the merger of Oaklands School and Lowfield School. It currently occupies temporary buildings on the existing Lowfield site on Dijon Avenue, but will move to new buildings on the former Oaklands site in January 2009[1]. The school is a specialist sports college.

The name of the school was chosen after a vote by pupils at the schools and the local community[2]
