York Barbell is a major international manufacturer of fitness products, which specializes in cardiovascular equipment (treadmills, rowers, bikes, cross-trainers and steppers) and resistance equipment (weight-training machines, barbells, dumbbells). They also produce accessories for the gym (gloves, balls, supports etc), boxing, football, and martial arts as well as a range of protein and other supplements. The company no longer has any North American equipment manufacturing, but simply imports all exercise and weight training products.
It is located in York, Pennsylvania and was founded by Bob Hoffman, owner of the York Oil Burner Company, in 1932, after he had bought out the Milo Barbell Company of Philadelphia.
