[edit] Merge proposal
According to my sources this line, although operated by the Midland Railway, was an independent company, the Yorkshire Dales Railway, authorised 6/8/1897, opened 29/7/1902, grouped into the LMSR in 1923, closed to passengers 22/9/1930, closed to goods (presumably this means beyond the quarry) 11/8/1969. - As the creator of the Yorkshire Dales Railway page, I fully approve of the merger proposal. They appear to be essentially one and the same. NRTurner (talk) 09:16, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
I've merged Skipton to Grassington Line this this article today. --Dr Greg (talk) 12:09, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
