Yokosuka Naval Base

The city of Yokosuka has been the site of major naval bases since mid-19th century.
It was the site of a major naval base for the Imperial Japanese Navy until the end of World War II. Since then, the city has hosted both a U.S. Navy base and a JMSDF base.
