Yokohama rail crash

The Yokohama rail crash (鶴見事故 Tsurumi jiko?, or "Tsurumi accident") occurred on November 9, 1963 between Tsurumi Station and Shin-Koyasu Station on the Tōkaidō Main Line in Yokohama, Japan, about 30 km (19 mi) west of Tokyo, when two passenger trains collided with a derailed freight train, killing 161 people.
