[edit] Source and copyright tags needed
Hi,
I have tagged some of your recent picture uploads with the "no source" tag. You need to note the source of the pictures - often a website URL - and add a copyright tag as appropriate. See Wikipedia:Copyright tags. THanks - Tempshill
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:071.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:071.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] License tagging for Image:Amur logo.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Amur logo.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:08, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Hosa_logo.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Hosa_logo.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:Amur_logo.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Amur_logo.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:49, 8 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cohesion 00:49, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Nordic_logo.gif
Thank you for uploading Image:Nordic_logo.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. cohesion 01:12, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] List of countries by number of active troops
Would be as kind as to explain why you keep reverting my edits on List of countries by number of active troops ? It seems that the information given by the CSIS not only is a misunderstanding of the nature of the Gendarmerie, it is also extremely inaccurate as to the number of reserve troops (by one and a half order of magnitude, no less). I have provided direct sources from the French Ministry of Defence on these statistics. Furthermore, I have proposed this edit on the talk page days ago and no comment was made.
Thank you in advance. Rama 08:46, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- I see that you have further reverted my edit without explaining your reasoning. Your stated "if Rama's sources are correct then every nation in this page needs to be updated" is non-sensical: if you cannot challenge my sources, why revert ? If you do challenge them, provide reaons to do so.
- My sources are official documents from the French Ministry of Defence.
- Your remarks makes it appear that you'd rather have deliberately false information published rather than question the exactitude of the previous sources. Rama 20:05, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Golden Amur
An editor has nominated Golden Amur, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Golden Amur and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 03:29, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ethnic categories
Hi. Please don't insert racial or ethnic categories for which there are no reliable secondary sources. Especially on living people, we need to show that the person's ethnicity is relevant to their notability. This needs also to be mentioned in the main body of the article, not just added as a category. Let me know if I can be any help, but please don't add any more ethnic categories unless they are verifiable. Thanks. --John (talk) 05:23, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Please do not add unsourced or original content. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --John (talk) 18:57, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as the one you made to Lyrics Born.
Any further vandalism will result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Geniac (talk) 19:32, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
This is not vandalism. I just follow all the pages that have two or more ethnic groups and create categories afterwards. If it's not then what's vandalism, John, Geniac? --Yokmin16 (talk) 20:10, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- I am sure it is not intended as vandalism too. However, it is in breach of our policies (as well as pretty rude) to revert my edits which were made following a consensus, unless you can add sources to the articles. This is why I asked you (twice now) to stop. See Wikipedia talk:Biographies of living persons#Ethnic categories for a recent centralized discussion on the subject. --John (talk) 21:09, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
