The Webster interestingly does not distinguish between a head harness and the yoke. However, as far as I know what is shown here would be a head harness. A nice picture of a yoke, to be fixed on the neck of two oxen, can be seen here: [1]. According to my webster only the upper bar is called yoke, whereas the two U shaped sticks are "oxbows". My Webster edition (Third New International Dictionary 1993) shows under "oxbow" a drawing very similar to the picture at the link above. A pair of oxen under a yoke can be seen here: [2].
