Yojimbo

In Japanese, a yojinbo (用心棒 yōjinbō?) is a bodyguard or security person. Ronin and samurai with low salaries were sometimes hired as yojinbo. Often yojimbo were ronin hired by the Yakuza and used as executioners and assassins rather than as bodyguards[citation needed].
