[edit] Additions

Very nice additions, Nesher. Just two points:

  • He was an adherent of the Kabbalah and an opponent of both "pilpul" and philosophy. The type of philosophy that he opposed should be clarified. He obviously held some philosophy, as this sentence mentions that he adhered to the Kabbalah.
  • The only Rosh that I know that is commonly published with the Talmud is the work written by Rabbeinu Asher. Please clarify. HKT 20:52, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
